Furniture Applications

The prime aspect of furniture design is use of straight sections and proper joinery.

As there is very little possibility of bending the bamboo easily, proper design of every section is important. For this, appropriate size and variety is of prime importance. Without exception, treated bamboos are used.

Use of nails is strictly avoided as far as joinery is concerned. The hollow portions of bamboo are generally ‘capped/plugged’.

After completion of the furniture piece if required it is polished and a surface coating is provided if desired.
